Stats/Powers
Sep. 24th, 2012 08:12 pmAge: 19
Height: Tall! Estimated to be around 6'3"
Weight: "Lean and hungry", what the hell that means. I assume it means that he's wiry with muscle on him but not super buff.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Dark and shaggy.
Appearance: Tall, goth teenager with an attitude problem. He has one hell of a scar running up his side that looks like something took a gouge out of him, if he holds up his right hand to someone with a kind of second sight there's a stylised sun glyph printed on the skin, though normal people wouldn't be able to see it. Also if anyone has a kind of healing sight thingy, they can see that his neck was broken rather brutally and healed.
If anyone has a kind of death sense, once he earns back that memory, Kevin sure is very dead.
Character Name: Kevin Prentiss aka "Dragonbreath"
Unit: Sage
Description of powers: As a Fire Warden, Kevin is able to see and manipulate the aetheric - a sort of energy/dimension that allows him to see the truth of things and manipulate them. Kevin's affinity is for fire, so he can see and predict how fire will behave and manipulate it accordingly. Realistically, given training he can do heat manipulation and transfer, but at this stage he won't be able to until he gains those memories back! He can also see how people perceive themselves, the significance of certain objects and power levels. Finally, he can perceive the atomic structure of stuff. To uh. Explode it.
All this comes at a cost though! Kevin is hated by the elements - in particular, fire will pretty much aim for him first and try to burninate him but good. Also the planet hates him and wants him dead too for existing. So if there's enough fire around him, it will gain enough awareness to know that Kevin is right there and try its best to burn him.
Strength/Extent of powers: Kevin is a very talented pyrokinetic and is extremely powerful but is terribly untrained. While Fire Wardens are able to do anything that involves heat manipulation, Kevin at the moment only is able to bring the fire. All kinds of fire. He has priorities, okay. Perceiving things on the aetheric is an innate ability that all Wardens have and has nothing to do with power levels.
Innate: His abilities are all innate, but to use them consciously and not as an involuntary way to protect himself would need him to remember how to do it.
Memory related: Yes, insofar as his memory means that he knows how to actually decide when to burninate the countryside or not. Also he needs to know that he can access the aetheric before he understands what the hell he's even seeing.
Relation to memory: If he doesn't remember he can do it, it's not going to be something he can consciously do. Scare him enough and it'll flare out of his control anyway and no one wants that.
Effect of the powercap: Kevin honestly wouldn't notice. He doesn't use his full potential anyway because he doesn't know how. But it would mean that while he can control a housefire, he can't control a wildfire and would have to work with others to create firebreaks. If someone teaches him how to control his powers with precision, he can create a mid-power laser as opposed to a super crazy high one.
Regardless of the power cap, fire will still hate his guts and want him dead. It's not to do with power, it's to do with what he is. So hopefully he won't get caught in a firestorm.
